if we wish to lift a 60 pound rock with a lever that gives us a mechanical force of 4 how much force would we have to exert under ideal conditions? over what distance would we have to exert this force if we wish to lift the rock 1.5ft

If you mean a mechanical advantage of 4, it's 60/4 = 15 pounds.
The distance would be 4*1.5 = 6 ft
