You can put this solution on YOUR website!
One side is x+2
Another side ix x
It came to be a right triagnle:
so:
(x+2)^2+x^2=10^2
x^2+4x+4+x^2=100
2x^2+4x-96=0
x^2+2x-48=0
Factor it and you get x= 6
6+2=8
Hence, the sides are 6 and 8cm.

2.12000(1+r^2+2r)=27000
12000+12000r^2+24000r=27000
12000r^2+24000r-15000=0
Can u solve it from there? If u need help e-mail back.
Paul.
