Question 33326: When the temperature goes up 3degree on the cantorscale, it goes up 8degree
on the Frobenius scale. On both scales, 18degree is the same temperature. How many Frobenius degrees are equal to 30degree Cantor?
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Want linear equation y=mx+b
Need to find "m" and "b"
Let y=Frobenius measure and x=Cantor measure
Since 8F : 3C, slope in 8/3.
We now have F=(8/3)C + b
But, if C=18 then F=18
So, 18=(8/3)18+b
b=-30
EQUATION:
F=(8/3)C-30
If Cantor = 30 we get
Frobenius=(8/3)(30)-30
Frobenius=50 degrees if Cantor = 30 degrees.
