Question 32159: The number of cars manufactured on an assembly line varies jointly as the number of workers and the time they work. If 200 workers can produce 64 cars in 2 hours, find how many cars 240 workers should be able to make in 5 hours.
Answer by mukhopadhyay(490)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x=number of cars
w=number of workers
t=time
x=kwt
64=400k
=>k=64/400=4/25
So, x=4wt/25
x=(4/25)*240*5
=>x=4(48)=192
Answer: 192 cars
