x+y=180
x=3y-16
(3y-16)+y=180
4y-16=180
4y=180+16
4y=196
y=196/4
y=49 ans. for the smaller angle.
x=3*49-16
x=147-16=131 ans. for the greater angle.
Proof:
49+131=180
180=180
