If the initial speed is 30 meters per second, how high above the ground will the pebble be after 4 seconds?
:
f(t) = height of pebble in t seconds
The equation
f(t) = -9.8t^2 + 30t + 200
t = 4 sec
f(4) = -9.8(4^2) + 30(4) + 200
f(4) = -9.8(16) + 120 + 200
f(4) = 156.8 + 120 + 200
f(4) = 163.2 m after 4 sec
