Joe had a balance of $60 in his account.
Let his weekly salary = $ x
So Total amount in his account = 60+x
He wrote a check to the electric company for $30, a check to the telephone company for $90, and a check to the cable company for $40.
Total amount spent = 30+90+40 = $160
Balance amount in his account is (60+x)-160 = 350
60+x = 350+160
x = 510-60
x= $ 450
