A patient drank 1/4 cup of water, 3 oz of milk, and 1/2 cup of juice. Using the conversions, one cup= 8 oz , and one oz =30 milliliters, how many milliliters did the patient drink?
I OZ = 30 milliliters
One cup of drink = 8 0z = 8X30 =240 milliliters
Patient intake is 1/4 cup of water, 3 oz of milk, and 1/2 cup of juice
which amounts to [(1/4)X(240)]+ (3X30) +[(1/2)X240] =60+90+120 =270 milliliters.
Answer:The patient has taken 270 milliliters
