Answer by toidayma(44)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let the number of banana he ate on May 1 is x. We have
the number of banana he ate on May 2 is x +6
the number of banana he ate on May 3 is x +6*2
the number of banana he ate on May 4 is x +6*3
the number of banana he ate on May 5 is x +6*4
Totally he ate 5x + 6*(1+2+3+4) = 5x + 60, since this equals to 100, then we have
5x + 60 = 100 or x = 8 (bananas).
