If Merilee sells tomatoes at a roadside stand. Her total receipts including the 6% sales tax were $457.15. What amount of sales tax did she collect?

Equation:
x + 0.06x = 457.15
1.06x = 457.15
x = $431.27 (receipts before taxes received)
