Question 266057: A store has a large supply of 1 pound, 3 pound, 9 pound and 27 pound weights, but no weights of other amounts. These weights are sold at 25 cents per pound regardless of size. A man wishes to spend no more than $10.00 and buy 40 pounds worth of weights. In how many ways can he do this so that he has enough weights to weigh any integer value from 1-40? Also, he does not want to duplicate any number (i.e. If he buys three 1 poind weights, he can't buy a 3 pound weight.)
