Question 261700: Will you help me with this problem?
Solve for X
A = x + y/ 2
Answer by butterfliiizzz(18) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
A = x + y/2
To solve for x, we have to get x by itself. So we have to figure out how to get rid of everything else. First we will have to take care of the 2 in the denominator. To be able to cancel it out, you have to muliply that side of the equation by 2/1. So that would give us: 2A/1 = 2(x + y)/2
any number over itself is 1, so we can cancel out the 2/2, and any number over 1 is itself, so we can remove the 1 which leaves us with:
2A = x + y
Now we need to get rid of the y, so we simply subtract y from each side, which gives us:
2A - y = x
