4 steps of a cat = 3 steps of a dog
12 steps of a cat = (3/4)*12 = 9 steps of a dog
Also, 1 step of the dog covers 1 foot.
Therefore, 9 steps of the dog covers 9 feet.
So 12 steps of a cat covers 9 feet
