Answer by checkley77(12844)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.25/2*x-.25/3*x=1
.25x/2-.25x/3=1
(3*.25x-2*.25x)/(2*3)=1
(.75x-.50x)/6=1
.25x/6=1
.25x=6
x=6/.25
x=24 apples were bought & then sold.
Proof:
.25/2*24-.25/3*24=1
.25*12-.25*8=1
3-2=1
1=1
