Question 258789: I am stumped on a word problem. Please read the problem and what I have figured below.
One angle of a triangle measures 10 degrees more than the second angle. The measure of the third angle is twice the sum of the measures of the first two angles. Determine the measure of each angle.
angle 1: x + 10
angle 2: x
angle 3: 2(x+x+10)
I have been unable to determine what to do next. Please respond with assistance.
Thank you,
Donna
Answer by Fombitz(32388) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The sum of the angles in a triangle is 180.
You have all the angles in terms of x.
Now sum them and solve for x.
Re-post if you get stuck.
