Question 253776: x, y and z are consecutive multiples of 5, counting from smallest to largest. What is x + y in terms of z ?
(A) z + 10 (B) z + 15 (C) 2z –15 (D) 2z + 5 (E) 3z – 5
Answer by MRperkins(300) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x=a+5
y=a+10
z=a+15
x is 10 less than z, so
y is 5 less than z, so
x+y=z-10+z-5=2z-15
