Question 251845: A motor car manufacturer makes M cars per week. The production is increased
by N % The number of cars made per week is now what number?
Answer by Theo(13342) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
n = n% / 100%.
production will be (1+n)*m cars per week.
example:
let m = 100
let n% = 20%
n = 20%/100% = .2
1+n = 1+.2 = 1.2
production will be (1+n)*m = 1.2*100 = 120 cars per week.
production has been increased by 20%.
(120-100)/100 = 20/100 = .2 * 100% = 20%
