Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Two numbers; one is ten times greater than the other; their sum is equal to their product.
-----------------------
Let one of the numbers be "x".
The other number is "10x".
------------------------------
Equations:
x + 10x = x(10x)
11x = 10x^2
---
10x^2-11x = 0
x(10x-11) = 0
Positive solution:
10x-11 = 0
x = 11/10 = 1.1 (1st number)
10x = 11 (2nd number)
