Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Find three consecutive odd integers such that three times the second minus the third is 17 more than the first.
-----------------------
1st: 2x-1
2nd: 2x+1
3rd: 2x+3
----------------
Equation:
3(2x+1)-(2x+3) = (2x-1)+17
4x = 2x+16
2x = 16
x = 8
------------
1st: 2x-1 = 15
2nd: 17
3rd: 19
