"Three times a certain number is less than the square of the number."
I need help with this problem. I obviously know that the first part is 3y (or ) but I dont know how to write out the rest of it. Please help.

Write "is less than" using the symbol "<". Write "the square of the number" by writing "y^2"

So 3y < y^2
