then
2-x = perimeter of rectangle

Since for any circle:
circumference = (pi)d = 2(pi)r
then
x = 2(pi)r
r = x/(2(pi))

Area of circle:
(pi)r^2
=(pi)[x/(2(pi))]^2]
=(pi)[x^2/(4(pi)^2)]
=x^2/(4(pi))

rectangle:
Let w = width
then
2w = length
perimeter = 2(w + 2w)
perimeter = 2(3w)
2-x = 2(3w)
2-x = 6w
(2-x)/6 = w (width)
