Question 205468: solve the equation by eliminating fractions
A) x/2+x/3=20

b) 3m/4+m/2= -5

Answer by checkley77(12844)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
A) x/2+x/3=20
(3x+2x)/(2*3)=20
5x/6=20
5x=20*6
5x-120
x=120/5
x=24 ans.
Proof:
24/2+24/3=20
12+8=20
20=20
b) 3m/4+m/2=-5
(2*3m+4*m)/(4*2)=-5
(6m+4M)/8=-5
10M/8=-5
10M=-5*8
10M=-40
M=-40/10
M=-4 ANS.
PROOF:
3*-4/4+(-4/2)=-5
-12/4-2=-5
-3-2=-5
-5=-5
