Melody returns from her vacation to this country and finds that she has 11 more copper leaves than silver leaves, and a total of 35 leaves. If her money is worth 572 copper leaves, how many leaves of each kind does she have?
I have tried doing systems of equations but when i plug it all it doesnt seem to work. I think i'm setting up the wrong equations

"she has 11 more copper leaves than silver leaves" ___ C = S + 11

"a total of 35 leaves" ___ C + S + G = 35

substituting ___ S + 11 + S + G = 35 ___ 2S + G = 24 ___ G = 24 - 2S

"her money is worth 572 copper leaves" ___ C + 14S + 71G = 572

substituting ___ S + 11 + 14S + 71 (24 - 2S) = 572 ___ 15S + 1704 - 142S = 561 ___ 1143 = 127S ___ 9 = S

substituting ___ G = 24 - 2(9) ___ G = 6

substituting ___ C = 9 + 11 ___ C = 20
