Answer by rbkumar_msc(2) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
let the side of the square be x feet.
area of the square=side x side =x2
new side (x+6)
new area (x+6)2 =4x2
solving this (x-6)(x+2)=0
x=6
