Plot the graphs of the following functions. Scan the graphs and post them to the Facilitator along with your response.
Justify your answer.
1.f(x) = 5x
2.f(x) = 4x+2
3.f(x) = (1/3)x
---------------
These are linear, straight lines. To graph them you need only 2 points.
1.f(x) = 5x
Use y for f(x)
y = 5x
Pick 2 values for x, then solve for y
at x = 0, y = 0 --> (0,0) 1st point
at x = 2, y = 10 --> (2,10) 2nd point
Plot the 2 points, draw a line thru them.
------------------
#2 and #3 are similar.
