Question 196577: What is the median of 105, 108, 117, 122, 129, and 129.

The first step to finding the median of a set of numbers is to write them all out in order from smallest to largest. Here we have:
105, 108, 117, 122, 129, and 129.
You'll notice that I did say 129 twice, because it was in the data set twice.
To find the median, cross off the numbers on the ends. So we'll get rid of 105, and the second 129.
Now it's 108, 117, 122, 129.
Do the same thing again. Now we have 117, 122. Now, if we cross off these numbers, there'll be nothing left, so we're going to find what's halfway in between them. I"m sure you can figure that out on your own.
