Question 192804: What is the asymptote of the function: y=-4+(5/6)^(x+7)
Answer by RAY100(1637) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y=(-4)+(5/6)^(x+7)
y= (-4) +(5/6)^x*(5/6)^7
y= (-4) +(.279)(5/6)^x
just make a T box and calc a few y's for given x, and it is apparent
as x approaches + infinity, y approaches (-4)
as x approaches - infinity, y approaches + infinity
