Train A passes a station at 12:15 p.m.. If Train B passes the same station at 12:27 p.m., at what time will train B catch up to train A?

Train A passes a station at 12:15 p.m.. If Train B passes the same station at 12:27 p.m., at what time will train B catch up to train A?

In the 12 mins from 1215 to 1227, train A has gone 16 miles. 80 mph time 1/5 hour.

Train B is gaining on train A at 20 mph (100 - 80). It will take 16/20 hours to catch train A, or 48 minutes.
1227 + 48 = 1315. Or, as people in the land of feet and inches call it, 1:15 PM.
