Value Equaltion..:5n +10d = 235 cents

Modify:
5n + 5d = 165
5n + 10d = 235

Subtract 1st from 2nd to solve for "d":
5d = 70
d = 14 (# of dimes)

Substiute into n+d = 33 to solve for "n":
n + 14 = 33
n = 19 (# of nickels)
