If you pick a large natural number, there will ALWAYS be a larger natural number compared to the number you selected. So for instance if you pick the value 10 billion, the next number is 10 billion and 1. This means that natural numbers go on forever which means that the set of natural numbers is an infinite set.

On the other hand, if you physically pull out every blade of grass (from the root so you completely remove the whole grass plant), then you will find that eventually you will run out of grass blades to pull out. So even though the set of grass blades is a very large set, it is still a finite set (ie it does NOT go on forever).
