Question 165953: Irene wants a part time job.One employer offers $8.10 an hour. Another employer offers 6.75 per hour plus a 45 starting bonus. Find out how many hours Irene would have to work to earn the same amount at each job
Answer by oscargut(2103)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
First employer equation is P(t)=8.1t
Second employer equation is: P(t)=6.75t+45
then we have to find t with P(t)=Q(t)
8.1t=6.75t+45
1.35t=45
t=45/1.35=1/0.03=100/3 hours 33.33 hours (aprox)
