Question 150937: Which one of the following statements is true for trigonometric functions of two acute angles A and B in a right triangle?
A cosB=tanA
b. cotB=cosA
c. sinB=sinA
d. tanB=cotA
Answer by vleith(2983) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
D.
tan = opposite/adjacent
cot = adjecent/opposite But in this problem we switched which vertex we were making that statement about.
Draw the tirangle, label sides a and b and then put the angles A and B at the vertex opposite the side. Then see how what we said above implies the same ratio
