A lot measures 50ft by 100ft. The house on the lot measures 25ft by 50ft. What is the area of the lawn?

lot=50*100=5,000ft^2.
house=25*50=1,250ft^2
5,000-1,250=3,750ft^2 is left over for a lawn.
