L*W = 1200
L+W = 70
------------
L = 1200/W
(1200/W) + W = 70
1200 + W^2 = 70W
W^2-70W+1200 = 0
W = [70 +- sqrt(70^2-4*1200)]/2
W = [70 +- srt(100)]/2
W = [70 +- 10]/2
W = 40 then L=30
OR
W = 30 then L = 40
