The ratio between distances is 8/5 then the ratio between speeds is also 8/5
Let x sppeed of the zebra and y speed of the elephant
then x=y+15 and x/y=8/5
then
(y+15)/y=8/5
then
5y+75=8y
3y=75
y=25
x=y+15=40
Answer:
speed of the zebra is 40 mph
speed of the elephant is 25 mph
