The polynomial will be

new area

The old garden is 25 ft2 larger than the new garden

Answer by checkley71(8403)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
THE CURRENT GARDEN HAS AN AREA OF X^2.
BY SHORTINING 1 SIDE BY 5 FT. & LENGTHENING THE OTHER BY 5 FT.
YOU NOW HAVE AN AREA OF:
(X-5)(X+5)=X^2-25.
COMPARING (X^2) WITH (X^2-25) WE SEE THAT THE CHANGED SQUARE GARDEN IS 25 FT^2 LESS.
