This wording is ambiguous: it can be correctly translated in other form
-10 >= 2*(x+14)
and there is no way / (no criterion) to distinct, which of the two possible translations
is more correct: they BOTH are equally correct.
It happens very often that wording expressions are ambiguous in Math.
Therefore, people invented and use mathematical language
to express their thoughts in clear form, avoiding ambiguity.
It is true not only for Math, but for every other specialized area of knowledge/science:
- Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Astronomy, Geology, Economy etc.
Every science has its own terminology and the way to describe its subject.
Plain everyday English (as any other human language) does not replace
