360 cents will fetch 360/12 = 30 pencils

=number of blue pencils
(iii) Yellow pencils cost (x + 8) cents each.
= number of yellow pencils
(b) The number of blue pencils in part is 16 more than the number of yellow pencils
The number of blue pencils =360/x
Number of yellow pencils = 360/(x+8) +16

subtract 16 from both sides

Multiply by LCM
360(x+8)-16x(x+8)=360x

Cancel off 360x

divide by -16
