Re-post, making proper use of parentheses. We're not going to spend time working on solving a problem if we aren't sure what the problem is....

x+7/x+1 = ?

(x+7)/(x+1) = ?

or something else....?

To the student....

I told you to re-post the question -- not to send the correction to the problem in a message to me.

If you just post a message to me, no other tutors see it; and I might not be interested in working the problem.

If you re-post the problem as I asked you to, ALL the tutors here will see it, and you will be far more likely to get a response.
