Describe how to draw a line that passes through the origin...

So start at the origin (0,0).
and has a slope of -2/3.
So since the slope is negative, we go DOWN and since the numerator is 2, we go DOWN 2 units

[Note: We go (UP the numerator when the slope is positive and DOWN when it's negative).]



Since the denominator is 3, we go right 3.
(Always RIGHT for the denominator)



Then draw the line through the starting point and through the
ending point:
