Two ratios    and    are equal if and only if  ad = bc  
(the product of the extreme terms equals the product of the inner terms).


In your case  ad = 60*72 = 4320.

              bc = 88*59 = 5192.


The products are different, so the fractions are not equal (are not equivalent).
