Question 1178396: Find antilogarithm of 3.1533.
Using table:
.1533 = 1422
Under proportional parts; 3 is 1.
1422 + 1 = 1423
Number of digits; 4
Mantissa is 3.
3.1423
10^3.1423 = 1387.71 = 1388
Where am I correct? I know the logarithm / antilogarithm tables are outdated now, and spreadsheets, calculators, and computers are used. I just wanted to see how the tables are used.
