The Perimeter of a rectangle is 42 cm. One side is 9 cm longer than the other side. Find the lengths of the sides.
--------------
Let one of the sides by "x" cm long
Let the longer side be "x+9" cm long
--------------
Perimeter = 2(length + width)
42 = 2 (x + x+9)
21 = 2x+9
2x = 12
x = 6 cm
x+9 = 15 cm
