If you do the algebra steps right, you may find an equation

which is factorable as

The solution which works is , the time for the push motor to do the job alone; and then , the time for the rider mower to do the job alone.

Then time push mower takes = T + 20
We then get the following JOB equation:

15(T + 20) + 25T = T(T + 20) ------ Multiplying by LCD, T(T + 20)

(T - 30)(T + 10) = 0
T - 30 = 0 OR T + 10 = 0
Time riding mower takes, or OR T = - 10 (ignore)
