Write the "time" equation


     -  = 1  hours,


where x is the Jacqueline's rate.


You can reduce it to the quadratic equation and solve it by any way.


Or, alternatively, you can guess the solution.


ANSWER.  Jacqueline's rate is 8 miles per hour.

         Autumn's age is 12 miles per hour.


CHACK.   -  = 3 - 2 = 1 hour.
