Question 1147660: Solve this exercise using the fact that the sum of the measures of the three angles of a triangle is 180
In a triangle, the measures of the three angles are x,x+17, and x-38. What is the measure of each angle?
Answer by Theo(13342) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x + x + 17 + x - 38 = 180
combine like terms to get:
3x - 21 = 180
add 21 to both sides to get:
3x = 201
solve for x to get:
x = 67
you get:
x = 67
x + 17 = 84
x - 38 = 29
x + x + 17 + x - 38 = 67 + 84 + 29 = 180
each angle measures:
67, 84, 29 degrees.
that's your solution.
