your problem is to factor 26x^2 - 1.
this can be broken down into the difference of two square as shown below:
26x^2 - 1 = (sqrt(26)x - 1) * (sqrt(26)x + 1)
set these equal to 0 to get:
(sqrt(26)x - 1) * (sqrt(26)x + 1) = 0
this results in:
sqrt(26)x - 1 = 0 or sqrt(26)x + 1 = 0
this results in:
sqrt(26)x = 1 or sqrt(26)x = -1
solve for x in each of these to get:
x = 1/sqrt(26) or x = -1/sqrt(26)
these can be combined to say:
x = plus or minus 1/sqrt(26)
the graphical solution is shown below.
note that plus of minus 1/sqrt(26) is equivalent to plus or minus .1961161351 that rounds to plus or minus .1961 as shown in the graph.
