Question 1144541: Find five consecutive integers such that:
“The sum of the first and 3 times the fourth is equal to 39 less than twice the sum of the second, third, and fifth.”
I came up with this formula:
x+3(x+3)=39-2(x+1)(x+2)(x+4)
I am sure that this is wrong though. Any help would be appreciated.

.

The equation, which is the Math translation of the condition, is THIS :

    x + 3*(x+3) = 2*((x+1) + (x+2) + (x+4)) - 39.

Simplify and solve it.

Can you do it on your own ?
