Question 1141734: Hello,
I recently asked a question regarding Newton's Synthesis and the tutors told me that G=v^2*r/M. I would appreciate it very much if you can tell me how to solve for v^2 using the equations below. Here is the original equations that I submitted:
G*Mm/r^2=mv^2/r
Equation for the force of gravity=Equation for centripetal force. I am asked to solve for v^2
Thank you!

Same approach. factor an m/r from both or take the equation above and multiply both sides by M/r
GM/r=v^2
