Answer by Boreal(15235) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The area is 36*45=1620 ft^2
2 inches of sand is 1/6 of a foot so need 1620*(1/6)=270 ft^3 of sand
1 yd^3=27 ft^3 (3ft)^3
need 10 yd^3 of sand
Need twice as much topsoil or 20 yd^3.
